Beta tests and feedback
Get involved with Owli-AI
Help us improve assistive apps in a practical, accessible, and everyday-oriented way. We are looking for people who want to test new features or share honest feedback from real usage situations.
Beta test requests by email: [email protected]
Direct feedback to: [email protected]
Who this is for
Participation is especially relevant for:
- People with low vision or blindness
- People with hearing impairments or hearing loss
- Users who work with Android apps using TalkBack or other accessibility tools
- Relatives, supporters, professionals, or companions
- People who want to try new features in everyday situations and share feedback
Even if you are not part of the main target group, practical feedback on usability, clarity, and stability is welcome.
What participation looks like
Depending on the app and development stage, participation can look different. A typical flow is:
- You send us a short request by email.
- We check whether there is currently a suitable beta test or feedback call.
- If a beta test is running, you receive an invitation with brief instructions.
- You test the app in typical everyday situations on your own device.
- Afterwards, you send us feedback, for example on usability, accessibility, stability, clarity, or useful improvements.
A beta test via Google Play often lasts around 14 days. During that time, what matters most is realistic use and honest feedback. The goal is not perfect testing, but clear feedback on what already works well and what should be improved.
If you do not want to join beta testing, you can still send general feedback on existing apps, ideas, or usage experiences.
What to include in your request
To help us sort requests faster, these details are useful:
- Which app you are interested in
- Whether you want to join a beta test or send general feedback
- Which smartphone, computer, or operating system you use
- Whether you use accessibility tools such as TalkBack or similar features
- Whether you belong to the target group yourself or are testing as a relative, professional, or supporter
- A short note on why you want to participate or which usage scenarios matter most to you
If a test runs through Google Play, it is also helpful to share the email address connected to your Google Play account.

FAQ
Do I need to belong to the target group to participate?
No. Feedback from people in the target group is especially valuable, but feedback from relatives, professionals, and other interested users is also welcome.
Do I need a specific device?
That depends on the app. For many tests, a current Android smartphone is enough. If there are specific requirements, we mention them in the invitation.
How much effort does a beta test require?
That depends on the app. In most cases, it is enough to try the app in typical everyday situations and then send us short feedback.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. Honest feedback about real-life use matters more than technical background.
How can I send feedback without joining a beta test?
You can write to us by email at any time.
Can I register interest for multiple apps?
Yes. Just mention which apps you are interested in.
Will I receive a reply to my request?
Yes, as long as there is a suitable testing opportunity or a follow-up question. Please understand that replies can take some time depending on workload.
